Description

Quick and delicious meatball subs made in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mold mixture into 12 meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  6. Warm marinara sauce in a saucepan.
  7. Split hoagie rolls and place 3 meatballs in each roll.
  8. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  9. Return subs to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
  10. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add red pepper flakes for spice.
  • Garnish with extra parsley for presentation.
