Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat each tofu piece in the cornstarch mixture.
  5. Dip the coated tofu into soy sauce, then roll them in breadcrumbs.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over the nuggets.
  7. Place tofu nuggets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  9. Remove and let cool slightly before serving.

  • For extra flavor, marinate tofu in soy sauce for 30 minutes before coating.
