Ingredients

- 1 pound of button mushrooms, cleaned
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a second bowl, place the beaten eggs.
- In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese if using.
- Dip each mushroom in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the breaded mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors.
- Serve with dipping sauces like aioli or marinara.
