Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and butter. Mix until crumbly.
  2. Add cold water gradually and knead into a dough.
  3. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. In a skillet, sauté onions until translucent. Add ground beef and cook thoroughly.
  5. Roll out dough and cut into circles.
  6. Place filling on half of each circle and fold over, sealing the edges.
  7. Brush with beaten egg.
  8. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Place empanadas in the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
