A recipe for crispy air fryer falafel bites, perfect for a healthy snack or appetizer.
Ingredients

- 1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil spray for air frying
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas.
- Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and pepper to a food processor.
- Pulse until a coarse mixture forms, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray the falafel with oil.
- Arrange falafel in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Remove and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve with tahini sauce or yogurt dip.
- For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper to the mixture.
- These can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
