Description
Crispy and flavorful air fryer sticky soy garlic wings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add chicken wings to the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Remove wings from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off.
- Place wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are crispy and cooked through.
- While the wings cook, simmer the leftover marinade in a saucepan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Once wings are done, brush them with the thickened marinade for extra flavor.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add sriracha or red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Serve with a side of celery and blue cheese dressing for dipping.
- Adjust cooking time based on wing size and air fryer model.
