- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1 lb)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Place chicken breasts in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
- Cook chicken in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- In a small saucepan, heat the reserved marinade until it simmers.
- Mix cornstarch with water and add to the marinade, stirring until thickened.
- Once the chicken is cooked, brush the thickened teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Pair with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
