Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1 lb)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Place chicken breasts in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
  5. Cook chicken in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. In a small saucepan, heat the reserved marinade until it simmers.
  7. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the marinade, stirring until thickened.
  8. Once the chicken is cooked, brush the thickened teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
