Description

A rich and creamy amaretto cheesecake with a buttery crust and a hint of almond flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add sugar and mix until combined.
  6. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Add sour cream, amaretto, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  8. Gradually add flour and mix until fully incorporated.
  9. Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  11. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, add 1/2 cup melted chocolate to the filling.
  • Top with whipped cream and toasted almonds for garnish.
  • Use a water bath to prevent cracking.
