- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples.
- Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, whisk together apple cider and powdered sugar for the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
