Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in diced apples and walnuts.
- Heat oil in a fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour batter into a waffle maker and cook until golden brown.
- Fry each donut until golden, about 2-3 minutes each side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Let cool before serving.
