A delicious apple praline bread that combines the sweetness of apples with a rich praline topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for praline topping)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter (for praline topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the diced apples and pecans.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. In a saucepan, combine the praline topping ingredients and cook until bubbly.
  9. Pour the praline mixture over the batter in the loaf pan.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before slicing.
