Description

A healthy banana bread recipe using wholemeal flour and dried fruit.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, or apricots)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
  4. In another bowl, combine wholemeal flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture.
  6. Fold in the dried fruit.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before slicing.
