Description
A rich and creamy Bavarian cream custard dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup cold water
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat milk and sugar until dissolved.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and gradually add hot milk mixture.
- Return mixture to saucepan and cook until thickened.
- Dissolve gelatin in cold water and add to the custard.
- Stir in heavy cream and vanilla extract.
- Pour into molds and refrigerate until set.
- Serve chilled, garnished as desired.
Notes
- Make sure to chill the molds before pouring in the mixture.
- You can substitute vanilla with other flavors if desired.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
