Description

A rich and creamy Bavarian cream custard dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat milk and sugar until dissolved.
  2. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and gradually add hot milk mixture.
  3. Return mixture to saucepan and cook until thickened.
  4. Dissolve gelatin in cold water and add to the custard.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour into molds and refrigerate until set.
  7. Serve chilled, garnished as desired.

Notes

  • Make sure to chill the molds before pouring in the mixture.
  • You can substitute vanilla with other flavors if desired.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
