A delicious and hearty dish combining barbecue chicken with creamy macaroni and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add flour and stir for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk, stirring until thickened.
  5. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
  7. Add cooked macaroni and shredded chicken. Mix well.
  8. Pour barbecue sauce over the mixture and stir to combine.
  9. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
