Description

Delicious beef and cheese chimichangas fried to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Spread refried beans on each tortilla.
  4. Add beef mixture and cheese on top of the beans.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly.
  6. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  7. Fry chimichangas until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  • Serve with salsa or guacamole.
  • Can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
