Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 package empanada dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.
  3. Add cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese.
  5. Take empanada dough and fill each round with beef mixture.
  6. Fold dough over and seal edges with a fork.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
