Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Wooden skewers (soaked in water)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne, breadcrumbs, and egg.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly using your hands until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and mold each portion around a soaked skewer to form elongated kebabs.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through.
  6. For the tzatziki sauce, mix 1 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 cucumber (grated and drained), 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the kebabs hot with tzatziki sauce on the side.

  • For a smoky flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika.
