Description

Beef Stroganoff with Creamy Mushroom Sauce served over Egg Noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high and add beef strips. Season with salt and pepper, cook until browned.
  5. Sprinkle flour over beef and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bring to a simmer.
  7. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until fully combined. Heat through but do not boil.
  8. Serve beef stroganoff over egg noodles.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a combination of cremini and shiitake mushrooms.
  • Try adding a splash of white wine for depth.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for color.
