- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup bourbon or rum
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it simmers.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Add bourbon or rum, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours until firm.
- Use a melon baller or spoon to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.
- Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or powdered sugar to coat.
- Place truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill again for 30 minutes before serving.
