Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pinto beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the pinto beans overnight in water.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans.
  3. In a pot, combine beans, 4 cups of water, beer, onion, garlic, and jalapeño.
  4. Add cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  6. Check beans for tenderness and adjust seasoning if needed.
