Delicious cake pops decorated for Christmas.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup frosting
- 1 package candy melts
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions.
- Bake the cake in a greased pan.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Crumble the cake into a bowl.
- Add frosting and mix until combined.
- Form small balls from the mixture.
- Chill the balls in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Melt the candy melts in a microwave.
- Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melts and insert it into each ball.
- Dip each ball into the melted candy and swirl to coat.
- Decorate with sprinkles before the coating hardens.
- Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block to set.
Notes
- Use different colors of candy melts for variety.
- Store in a cool place to keep the coating firm.
- You can add flavor extracts to the frosting for extra taste.
