Description

A refreshing cardamom plum sorbet that combines sweet plums with aromatic cardamom for a unique dessert.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe plums, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add chopped plums, cardamom, and lemon juice. Stir well.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes until plums soften.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Puree the mixture in a blender until smooth.
  6. Chill the puree in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  7. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  8. Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
