Description
A traditional Mexican drink made with chocolate and masa.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup masa harina
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Boil water in a pot.
- Mix masa harina with water until smooth.
- Add milk to the pot and stir well.
- Slowly add masa mixture to the pot while stirring.
- Add chopped chocolate, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Continue stirring until chocolate melts and mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can adjust sweetness to taste.
- Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
