A comforting cheesy cabbage casserole that is simple to make and delicious.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, boil chopped cabbage for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Add the drained cabbage to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Layer half of the cabbage mixture in a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread half of the cheddar cheese over the cabbage mixture.
  7. Repeat with the remaining cabbage mixture and cheese.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • You can use different types of cheese if desired.
  • This casserole can be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated.
