Ingredients

- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese over the potatoes.
- Mix the cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the cheese and potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and cream mixture.
- Cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for even potato slices.
- Try different cheese varieties for different flavors.
- Let it rest before serving for better slicing.
