Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the crockpot.
  2. Add chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Shred the chicken and return to the pot.
  5. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and add to the crockpot.
  6. Cook for an additional 30 minutes on high.
  7. Stir in frozen peas before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Use rotisserie chicken for quicker preparation.
  • For a thicker broth, add cornstarch mixed with water.
