Description
A comforting dish of chicken and dumplings made in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions
- Place chicken in the crockpot.
- Add chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the chicken and return to the pot.
- Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and add to the crockpot.
- Cook for an additional 30 minutes on high.
- Stir in frozen peas before serving.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Use rotisserie chicken for quicker preparation.
- For a thicker broth, add cornstarch mixed with water.
