Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken breast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita bread
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
- Warm pita bread on the grill for 1 minute.
- Assemble gyros by adding chicken, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and tzatziki sauce into pita.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use boneless chicken thighs for more flavor.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Can substitute tzatziki with hummus if desired.
