Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita bread
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  5. Warm pita bread on the grill for 1 minute.
  6. Assemble gyros by adding chicken, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and tzatziki sauce into pita.
  7. Serve immediately.
