Description

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place flour in a shallow dish. Season with salt and pepper.
- In another dish, beat the eggs.
- In a third dish, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess.
- Dip in the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
- Coat with breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Spray both sides of the schnitzels with cooking spray.
- Place schnitzels in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- Add herbs like parsley or thyme to breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
- Serve with lemon wedges and a side salad for a complete meal.
