Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until soft.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot.
  4. Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and beef broth to the crockpot.
  5. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve hot.
