Description
A simple and hearty chili recipe cooked in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until soft.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot.
- Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and beef broth to the crockpot.
- Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust spices to taste.
- Top with cheese or sour cream if desired.
- Can be frozen for later use.
