Description
Traditional treats for Chinese New Year celebrations.
Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour – 2 cups
- Water – 1 cup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Red bean paste – 1 cup
- Sesame seeds – 1/2 cup
- Cooking oil – for greasing
Instructions
- Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water in a bowl until smooth.
- Grease a steaming tray with cooking oil.
- Pour half of the mixture into the tray.
- Add a layer of red bean paste on top.
- Pour the remaining mixture over the red bean paste.
- Steam for 30 minutes.
- Let it cool and cut into pieces.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh ingredients for best taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
