Delicious cupcakes to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red and gold sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Fill cupcake liners with batter, about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool and decorate with red and gold sprinkles.

- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.
- You can use food coloring to enhance the frosting.
