Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red and gold sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Fill cupcake liners with batter, about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool and decorate with red and gold sprinkles.
