Ingredients
- Jujube (red dates) – 10 pieces
- Goji berries – 1/4 cup
- Rock sugar – 1/2 cup
- Water – 8 cups
- Chinese herbs (optional) – 1 tablespoon
- Lemon slices – 2 pieces
Instructions
- Rinse jujube and goji berries under cold water.
- In a pot, combine water, jujube, goji berries, and rock sugar.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add Chinese herbs if using and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into a pitcher.
- Add lemon slices and chill in the refrigerator.
- Serve cold or warm as desired.
