Description
A selection of traditional Chinese New Year snacks.
Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour – 500g
- Water – 300ml
- Red bean paste – 200g
- Sesame seeds – 100g
- Peanuts – 100g
- Cooking oil – for frying
Instructions
- Mix glutinous rice flour and water to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- Flatten each ball and fill with red bean paste.
- Shape the filled dough back into balls.
- Roll the balls in sesame seeds and crushed peanuts.
- Heat cooking oil in a pan.
- Fry the balls until golden brown.
- Drain excess oil and serve warm.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- These snacks can be made ahead of time.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less red bean paste.
