Description
Delicious chocolate cinnamon rolls with a rich chocolate filling and topped with creamy icing.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Add melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture. Combine with the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter on top, then sprinkle with cinnamon and chocolate chips.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- These rolls freeze well before baking.
