Description

A rich and creamy chocolate mousse dessert.


Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 50g sugar
  • 300ml heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar until pale.
  4. Add melted chocolate and vanilla to egg yolk mixture and mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the egg whites.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and fold into the chocolate mixture.
  7. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
