Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread, cubed
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/2 cup of diced bell peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cubed bread, cooked sausage, and cheese.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture and stir to combine.
  5. If using, fold in the diced bell peppers.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
