Ingredients

- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 4 cups stale bread, cubed
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cubed bread, cooked sausage, cheese, bell pepper, and onion to the egg mixture.
- Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- This casserole can be prepared the night before and refrigerated.
- Feel free to customize with your favorite vegetables.
