Ingredients

- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until boiling.
- Stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
- Remove from heat and mix in chopped nuts.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
- Let it cool slightly, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can substitute nuts with your choice of dried fruits.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding less sugar if desired.
