  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, and salt over medium heat. Stir until combined.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 3 minutes without stirring.
  5. Pour the hot toffee over the crackers, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
  8. Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes, then spread it evenly.
  9. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
  10. Refrigerate until set, then break into pieces and serve.
