Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Red and green food coloring
- Buttercream frosting
- Edible glitter
- Christmas-themed sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in milk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Divide the batter into two bowls and add red food coloring to one and green to the other.
- Spoon alternating colors into cupcake liners.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before decorating.
- Frost with buttercream and add decorations.
