- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 4 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons sage
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 4 cups green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 3 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup gravy
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by mixing stuffing mix, melted butter, chicken broth, sage, and thyme.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
- Roast the turkey for approximately 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- In the last 30 minutes, remove the foil to brown the turkey.
- While the turkey is roasting, cook the green beans in boiling water for 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare the mashed potatoes and gravy according to your preference.
- Once the turkey is done, let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
Notes
- Make sure to thaw the turkey in the refrigerator at least 24 hours before cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking time.
- Leftover turkey can be used for sandwiches or soups.
