Description
A traditional Christmas roast dinner featuring succulent meats and seasonal vegetables.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 4 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, Brussels sprouts, and parsnips)
- 2 cups gravy
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by mixing stuffing mix, chicken broth, melted butter, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing and place it in a roasting pan.
- Season the outside of the turkey with salt and pepper.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 to 3.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In the last hour, add mixed vegetables around the turkey.
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with gravy and cranberry sauce.
Notes
- Make sure to baste the turkey every 30 minutes.
- Use kitchen twine to tie the legs of the turkey for even cooking.
- Leftover turkey can be used in sandwiches or soups.
