Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 4 cups stuffing
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by sautéing onion, carrots, and celery in butter.
- Add the herbs, salt, and pepper to the mixture.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth over it.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for another hour, basting occasionally.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Ensure the turkey is completely thawed before cooking.
- You can use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
- Feel free to add your favorite herbs to the stuffing.
