Description

A festive sourdough bread perfect for Christmas gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 500g bread flour
  • 350ml water
  • 100g sourdough starter
  • 10g salt
  • 100g dried cranberries
  • 50g walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, water, and sourdough starter in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, cranberries, walnuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 4 hours, folding it every hour.
  5. Shape the dough and place it in a proofing basket.
  6. Let it proof for 2 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  8. Bake for 30 minutes, then lower the temperature to 200°C (392°F) for another 15 minutes.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
