A festive Christmas-themed cake perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp almond extract
- Red and green food coloring
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened (for frosting)
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for frosting)
- Decorative Christmas-themed sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and milk, alternating between them.
- Divide the batter into two bowls. Color one with red food coloring and the other with green.
- Pour the batters into prepared pans and swirl them lightly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely.
- For frosting, beat ½ cup butter and gradually add powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Frost the cooled cakes and decorate with sprinkles.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for brighter colors.
- Store the cake in an airtight container.
- Can be made a day ahead.
