Description
Delicious cinnamon rolls shaped like a Christmas tree.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet yeast
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Warm milk and butter until melted.
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
- Add warm milk and egg to the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
- Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread brown sugar and cinnamon on the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into pieces.
- Shape the pieces into a Christmas tree on a baking sheet.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
- Mix icing sugar with water and drizzle on top before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh yeast for best results.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be frozen before baking.
