A festive and easy-to-make puff pastry shaped like a Christmas tree.


Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup of pesto
  • 1 tablespoon of flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out one puff pastry sheet on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into a Christmas tree shape.
  4. Spread pesto on the cut pastry.
  5. Sprinkle cheese over the pesto.
  6. Place the second pastry sheet on top and cut out the tree shape again.
  7. Cut slits in the pastry to create branches.
  8. Brush with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
