A traditional Christmas dessert shaped like a log.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate ganache
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
- Spread the batter onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove and let cool.
- Whip the cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread cream over the cooled cake.
- Roll the cake into a log shape.
- Cover with chocolate ganache.
- Chill before serving.
Notes
- Use parchment paper for easy removal.
- Chill the log for better slicing.
- Decorate with powdered sugar for a snowy effect.
