A simple and delicious churros recipe.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup sugar for coating
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon for coating
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball.
- Add vegetable oil and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 375°F (190°C).
- Put the dough in a piping bag with a star tip.
- Squeeze the dough into the hot oil, cutting it into 4-inch lengths.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll churros in the mixture.
- Serve warm with chocolate sauce or dulce de leche.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying.
- Use a piping bag for uniform churros.
- Store leftover churros in an airtight container.
