Description

Delicious homemade cinnamon rolls with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, salt, and half of the flour. Mix well.
  3. Add remaining flour gradually and knead until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the butter.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place slices in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add nuts or raisins to the filling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
